AIDB Community Guidelines

AIDb is intended to be a place where innovative products can be shared and reviewed by real users, so that we can celebrate the best that the AI sector has to offer. In order to achieve this, the following Community Guidelines set out our policies on the kinds of behaviours we do and do not want to promote on the platform. These are put forward to help build trust in our community and the information presented here.

The Next Evolution of InfoFi

In an era of disingenuous marketing, paid influencers and skewed incentive structures, there is a need for new platforms that seek to find the signal through the noise. Platforms that promote users who consistently share their authentic opinions about products, while helping the wider community find exciting new opportunities and innovations. There is also a need for projects to be able to showcase their products to the right audiences, finding those that want to be part of their journey for the long term.

AIDb provides mechanisms that help both product teams and users track meaningful engagement, combining them in a way that is intended to create bridges between projects and those most interested in seeing them truly succeed.

Our aim is to encourage behaviours from developers and users that embrace the following values:

• Innovation: we want to showcase products that are exciting and innovative, not just because of short-term marketing cycles but because they are delivering something that people want and/or need in their lives.
• Transparency: bringing the spotlight to content creators, users and developers that present themselves honestly and authentically is part of our mission. This is to ensure that the information provided on AIDb can be seen within a longer time horizon, where trust is both earned and verified.
• Credibility: in a highly experimental environment, success is not guaranteed. The excitement of new releases and marketing cycles should be recognised; but more importantly, the overall value of a product or service, as well as the credibility of those who review and comment on them, should be seen in a broader context of consistency and longer term value.
• Collaboration: we encourage developers and users to meet with one another in the public sphere of ideas and services; our goal is to connect knowledgeable users with the products they want to use. Doing so creates stronger relationships and distribution networks that can stand the test of time.

Community Standards

The ways in which individual products and users will achieve the above goals and express such values will vary, but there are a number of behaviours that are not considered acceptable when interacting with the AIDb site.

These include, but are not limited to:

• Posting insulting or hateful content;
• Engaging in harassment or bullying;
• Organising lone or co-ordinated manipulation of scores;
• Utilising bots, scripts and/or other automated content processes;
• Falsely claiming another’s identity or product ownership;
• Posting harmful links or other attacks;
• Knowingly posting false or misrepresentative information;
• Posting illegal content, products or services;
• Spamming comments, reviews and/or content submissions;
• Misrepresenting AIDb and/or Sway scores on external sites;
• Using the AIDb branding without express permission;
• Promoting criminal activity of any kind.

Any of the above behaviours (as well as others that the AIDb team consider to work against our values stated above) can be considered grounds for deletion of content and/or termination of user accounts and product pages. This will be decided at the discretion of the AIDb team and might not include consultation with the affected individual/s or teams before action is taken.

These community guidelines, values and standards apply to all users and content on the site.
